Rick Bauer takes a look back at the fall SDN Solutions Showcase and unveils the next showcase.

Did you hear about or attend ONF’s SDN Solutions Showcase at the SDN and OpenFlow® World Congress this past October in Düsseldorf, Germany? It featured more than 20 ONF member companies with their customers demonstrating examples of real-world SDN implementations and deployment in four themed categories: data center SDN, carrier SDN and WAN technologies, campus SDN, and testing and validation. The showcase not only offered our member companies an opportunity to highlight their SDN solutions, but also allowed them to demonstrate real applications with operators and partners. It was phenomenal to see the many different use cases of SDN live and in action!

Since not everyone could make it to Düsseldorf, we recorded videos of some of the demonstrations at the event. You can view the demo videos by clicking on the respective companies below:

The showcase was such a success that ONF is partnering with the Open Networking Summit (ONS) to produce another one at their 2015 event. The summit will have a dedicated space on the expo floor for organizations to collaboratively demonstrate their innovative solutions that further the adoption of SDN in a specific industry vertical or for a particular use case. And we have expanded use-case themes from four to 10: carrier and WAN SDN, data center SDN, campus SDN, testing and validation, network virtualization, security and monitoring, service and network orchestration, NFV enablement, reliability and scalability, and IP+optical convergence.

Companies interested in being a part of the SDN Solutions Showcase at ONS 2015 should submit their proposals by January 9, and final showcase participants will be announced on February 27. For more details on the SDN Solutions Showcase at ONS 2015, or to submit a proposal, please visit http://www.opennetsummit.org/showcase.php.

We hope you’ll join us to show what your company’s SDN solution can do!
