Diego Crupnicoff – Sr. Director of Architecture, Mellanox

diego crupnicoffDiego is the Sr. Director of Architecture at Mellanox Technologies. Since 1999, he has been responsible for chip, system, and software architectures for 6 generations of Mellanox products. He has been a member of the InfiniBand Trade Association (IBTA) since its beginnings, Spec author from its first release, and chair of the IBTA Technical working group that oversees all technical development since 2006. Diego has been a founding Director of the OpenFabrics Alliance and chairs its Technology Advisory Council (TAC). Diego is also a member of the IEEE 802.1 standards committee, focusing on developments that apply to Data Center Networks and has been involved in the process that led to the recent Ethernet for the Datacenter (DCB) specifications. Diego was the leading technical contributor to the RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) spec and also participated in the T11 committee that developed the Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) standard.

Diego is an inventor in over 20 patents in the areas of computer networks, software and system architectures, and holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering (Summa Cum Laude) and a M.Sc. in EE. (Summa Cum Laude) both from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
