SDN Engineers:
Get Certified

Rick Bauer provides the latest update on ONF-Certified SDN Engineer (OCSE) exam availability.

Untitled design (4)Today’s world is competitive and so is the networking industry. In order to stay ahead of the networking curve, you have to stay on top of your skills. As the industry continues to embrace SDN, not only have network architectures changed, but also the skills needed to manage them. But how can engineers keep their skills fresh and on the cutting edge of the industry?

That’s where the ONF-Certified SDN Professional (OCSP) Program comes in. By now you have probably heard of our ONF-Certified SDN Associate (OCSA) examination, made available earlier this year. The associate exam is specifically designed for entry-level sales and marketing professionals to have a foundational understanding of SDN. But what about the next tier in SDN – the engineer?

The OCSE exam is targeted at SDN professionals who are actively engaged in the technical components of networking and/or SDN ecosystems, validating technical skills, knowledge, and advanced concepts required for developers in this environment. The OCSP Program is designed to provide a strong foundation of vendor-neutral, concept, and technical-level credentials in open SDN that can integrate with and complement individual vendor certifications in networking technologies or programming languages.

And now you, yes you, have a chance to be one of the first engineers to not just take the OCSE exam, but to become certified.

ONF and SDN Essentials will hold OCSP training and testing sessions during the NFV World Congress, taking place April 19-22, 2016, in San Jose, California:
